PLACES OF INTEREST

Sydney Harbour islands

There are quite a few islands scattered around Sydney Harbour. Most of them are managed by the National Parks of NSW. They are:

Clark Island
Fort Denison
Goat Island
Rodd Island
Shark Island

Cockatoo Island, which lies in the waterways west of the Sydney harbour Bridge, is managed by the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust.

Bare Island, which is managed by National Parks of NSW, is an island situated in Botany Bay.

Access to all the islands is by arrangement and is usually part of a tour group as there is an upper limit to the number of people allowed on any island at any one time. Facilities are minimal. A number of the islands allow bookings for functions.

Generally, enquiries on bookings for tours or functions may be made with Sydney Harbour National Park.
