Things to do in Sydney

View from the top at Sydney Tower

The Sydney Tower sits 250 metres above the city and, as you would expect, the views of the harbour, Harbour Bridge and Opera House are breathtaking. You look down on one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The tower also lets you see as far away as the beaches to the east and mountains to the west.

The top of the tower contains two levels of restaurants (both 360 Bar and Dining and Sydney Tower Buffet Restaurant are revolving restaurants offering 360-degree views), coffee lounge, observation deck and the Sydney Skywalk, an outside deck with a glass floor. The facilities can accommodate 960 persons at any one time.

Three high-speed double-deck lifts take about 40 seconds to reach the top. If you register for the annual "Sydney Tower Run-Up" it will take you a lot longer, and you'll have to climb 1504 stairs.
