Walk back in time

It all began at the area known as Foundation Site

Shortly after Captain Arthur Phillip brought his fleet of 11 square-rigged sailing ships to anchor in the small bay that was to become known as Sydney Cove, he sent ashore working parties of convicts to clear an area for the tents and shelters that would house the settlers.

Much of the settlement was established on the western shore of Sydney Cove and this district eventually became known as The Rocks.
