Bronte Beach is a smaller, southern ocean beach 3.5 kilometres south of Bondi.
Being an ocean beach it is most popular with surfers due to favourable conditions (and regularly good-sized waves) for surfing.
The rock pool at the southern end is much in demand when conditions are too rough for swimming.
An ocean swimming event is held every December between Bondi Beach and Bronte. The swim can be be viewed by following the Bondi to Bronte walking path.
